The Ahamkara are a species of dragon-like creatures, supposedly hunted down by Guardians. Ahamkara bones are very powerful and are used in Young Ahamkara’s Spine, Skull of Dire Ahamkara and Claws of Ahamkara.
Several armor pieces in Destiny are cleverly crafted out of old Ahamkara bones left over from centuries ago. There is still much speculation if the Ahamkara are extinct or still dwelling in some secret hiding place, biding time till their return.
